HPSim 7.1 discovery options not accessible after discovering lots of systems
Hi there,
I'm trying to debug a hp sim 7.1 installation on Windows 2008 R2.
Someone else did the installation and initial setup.
It turned out all the discovery jobs were disabled.
After specifiying our whole class b range I enabled the discovery jobs.
The next day hp sim discovered a litlle over 14.000 items amongst which were routers, printers and servers.
This is is obviously a lot more then we need.
Now I want to finetune the configuration in terms of the ip range to scan, what types of system to add, the intervals between the scans, days of history to keep and such.
The problem is that the pages where this can be configured are now loaded as white pages !
When pages like [options] [discovery], [options] [hardware status polling], [tasks & logs] [all scheduled tasks] are selected it results in a white page.
I have rebooted both hp sim and the server itself without any result.
It doesn't matter if the hpsim web page is accessed from linux or windows using any browser.
So the questions are :
* can the empty configuration pages be the result of the many discovered items in the hpsim database or a lot of history in the database
* is it possible to edit the settings in another way like directly in the database ?
Any other hints are welcome.
Thanks for your suggestions,
Mark
