Help configuring discovery
Hi there. I'd like to configure my newly installed SIM 5.1 to only discover servers that are powered on and already have the SIM agent installed. Is there a way to do this?
Thanks,
Jaime

Re: Help configuring discovery
Yes, you can do this using Discovery Filters.

Re: Help configuring discovery
I tried that.. I checked 'discovery filters', checked the box for 'servers', and picked the radio box for 'Manageable systems with HP agents only'. It still picks up every server in the IP range, regardless of power state or agent install. The servers that don't have the agent will come up as 'SERV_XXXXX' (with the x's being the serial). That's the what I don't want.. there's so many that it makes browsing the SIM interface a chore.

Re: Help configuring discovery
Uncheck "Automatically discover a server blade when its Integrated Lights Out management processor is identified" and you should be fine.
