Re: Here's a toolbox tool list I typed up if anyone is interested

Hello Dana,

Im currently studying these tools for our plan to use it on our environment.

Did you have any luck what finding out more information on what rights these tools provide to the users we assign them to?

Im specifically interested on the diffrences between the Onboard Administrator as Administrator and
Onboard Administrator as Operator tools.

Thanks and regards,

Jonathan

When I have a chance i'll look through my notes. It's been a while. I almost want to say onboard was access to the ilo but I'm not sure.

Hi Rancher,

I did take a look at my notes and what I ended up doing was assigning as minimal rights/tools to a group as I could. I would then login with a user in that group and test the rights.

I did ask a high level support contact at hp at the time and there was no documentation on the tool rights and what they did.

My goal was to have a mid-level admin group that could manage what they needed for servers but not able to manage the hpsim console itself.

Are you looking for something similar? I could post what rights I ended up with.

You could also setup a group without the Onboard Administrator as Administrator tool and see if it removes your right to access the ilo's.
