Hosts file identifications not working
In IM7 you edited the Hosts file for resolving names to IP addresses where DNS was not available.
I have tried the same in SIM but it doesn't seem to have applied these to the listed devices.
Any ideas Cheers.

Re: Hosts file identifications not working
Have you imported the HOSTS file into hpSIM?
Options --> Discovery --> Manual Discovery --> Hosts File Page
Create a new entry and import the contents of the file from the OS.

Re: Hosts file identifications not working
Clive this should be identical to IM7 - if the hosts file is present it will use that instead of DNS / WINS.
Dude, we've been totally misled by our album covers!

Re: Hosts file identifications not working
I have imported ths hosts file into SIM and edited to how i want it and then saved and clicked the 'ADD systems Now' button but i still just get a list of IP Addresses instead of system names.
