How can I configure SIM to only alert for the most depended failure?

How can I configure SIM to only alert for the most depended failure?

Lets say I have 10 servers in co-location and the Internet Connect or Router fails, how can I configure SIM to only send out one alert not 10 or 11 alerts?

You can't using the standard tools.

The only way to achieve something like this would be to use a Custom Command. It would be an interesting scripting exercise!
