IBM-Server with HP-SIM

We have got 3 new ESX-Hosts from IBM. Now I want to mangage these hosts with HP-SIM. I can see the hosts in Sim but can't manage them. Only ping.
What can I do that the IBM-Servers send errors to my HP-Sim?

thx

Re: IBM-Server with HP-SIM

hello!

ok this is very interesting. but we don't have the license.

Now I am trying to compile the ibm x3650m2-mibs:

immalert.mib, imm.clp.mib, imm.mib
all steps were ended sucessfully. But in HP-SIM (Options>Events>SNMP Trap Settings) I see the mib but it is empty. No actions are listed.

What can I d`?

thx.

Re: IBM-Server with HP-SIM

Hi

I had a similar problem, with IBM IMM (immalert.mib). I solved this problem by editing the immalert.mib.

IMM send trap with this enterprise OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.6.158.5.1

But in immalert.mib traps definition  have 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.6.158.5

I moved all traps from immalertMIB into immtrapg, after than trap OID become correct (1.3.6.1.4.1.2.6.158.5.1.0).
