Insight Agents not reporting to HP SIM

We are having problems with 2 Proliant DL380 G3 clustered with HP Insight Agents not reporting any faults to HP SIM also not all agents are showing in the System management home page.

I have reinstalled the agents on both servers also reinstalled SNMP on both server with no change.

SNMP security has been checked. HP SIM can see the servers but not with any detail.

Any help will be gratefully received.

Use 'Configure or Repair Agents...' to fix your communication issues.

Have tried this but in View task results it never completes.

Sounds like you're on an older version of SIM which had that problem...try upgrading to 5.1.

I have done some more investigating and found other servers with the same problem.

e.g. No server model in the system management home page also no details of different agents on the SMH.

All servers with probems all are running System management homepage version 5.9.1 and Management Agents version 7.6

Make sure all of the agents have been installed and that the corresponding services are running. Also check to make sure the Remote Monitor servive is running.

Are you running 2003 os? If so, make sure in your snmp security settings that you added the CIMS server and localhost in the "accept snmp packets" area.

Thank-you all for your help.

The problem has been resolved by removing all agents and reinstalling.
