Insight Manager Component Fails to install on some servers

The component 'Online ROM Flash Component for Windows - HP Integrated Lights-Out(file cp007828.exe) refuses to install on some of our DL360G2 W2K servers but will install on others.

Message display when trying to install:-

"The software will not be installed on this system because the required hardware is not present in the system or the software/firmware doesn't apply to this system".

These servers are all the same spec, all with ILO in operation, so why it will install on some but not others is a mystery.

Strictly speaking, the Online ROM Flash Component doesn't install on Windows; it doesn't leave anything behind in the Windows environment, it's just a mechanism to do an update to the iLO ROM. In order for it to work, the ProLiant Support Pack must be operational, specifically, the health and iLO drivers. Check that these are operational.

just found the ilo drivers had been disabled on 3 of our servers for some reason. As soon as I re-enabled them the latest updates installed OK.
