Insight Manager and ROMpaqs?
Just started working with the new HP Systems Insight Manger, having previously worked with CIM5 and CIM7. One of the features I used in the older versions, version control, allowed me to query my servers and determine whether they needed System (BIOS) or Options (controller, drive, tape, etc. firmware) ROMpaq upgrades. I cannot seem to find the equivalent in HPSIM. Is this still supported?
Thanks!

Re: Insight Manager and ROMpaqs?
Mike,
That would be a funtion that the Version Control Agent (installed as part of the Support Pack) would perform. The VCA will need to be configured to point to the SIM4.2 server, which has the Version Control Manager installed. Once a repository is configured, you can upload ROMPaqs for system BIOS, array controll firmware, and ILO firmware.
Once the system registers with the VCM, there will be a yellow or green icon in the SW column to show if things are current or behind. VCM can be configured to do a scheduled pull from the HP site to check for updates.
Hope this helps.
