Insight power management and standby onboard administrator
Hi!
I have a Problem in SIM with IPM who asks both the active and the standby OA about power info. But the standby OA doesn't have access to that information so it's generating an error everytime the IPM is updating it's info. This is getting pretty irritating when you have a few c-class enclosures.
The error I get in SIM is as follows:
Onboard Administrator Error Response: 139 (Not a valid request while running in standby mode.)
Is there any way to get the IPM to only ask the active OA card? or any other solutions to this problem?

Re: Insight power management and standby onboard administrator
Same Problem here:
Exact same behavior: 2 Enclosures where the Standby OA generates the error.
SIM Version is 5.2 Build:C.05.02.00.00

Re: Insight power management and standby onboard administrator
Hi,
It is must to have Primary OA to Enclosure association for IPM to work. If you are facing this issue even after having the Primary & Secondary OA's association with the enclosure, Re-Identifying the Primary OA should resolve the problem.
You can re-identify by selecting the Primary OA as target from "Options->Identify Systems..." tool.
Please let me know if it does not work....
Thanks,
Sarada
