Install PSP component on Linux with VCA ?
Hi,
I am trying to install a PSP component on a Linux server using the vca, with no success.
My CMS :
MS Server 2003 SE SP2
HP SIM Build C.05.02.02.00
vcrm 2.1
My Linux server :
RHEL ES 4U6
smh 2.1.15-210
vca 2.1.9-7
smh trust relationship with CMS configured
vca configured to point to the vcrm installed on the CMS with reference support pack PSP for RHEL 4 8.15
In the vca windows for my Linux server I click on the "Show additional items available in the repository" option.
It shows the PSP components.
I choose to install, for instance, hpacucli.
vca log :
- Started installation task from caller xxxxx
- Smart Component, hpacucli-8.10-2.noarch.rpm.tar.gz, was downloaded from Version Control Repository Manager server xxxxx.
- The Smart Component file, hpacucli-8.10-2.noarch.rpm.tar.xml, could not be retrieved from the Version Control Repository Manager on server xxxxx. The download will be retried. [ details ]
- The Smart Component file, hpacucli-8.10-2.noarch.rpm.tar.xml, could not be retrieved from the Version Control Repository Manager on server xxxxx. Downloads stopped. [ details ]
- Completed installation with summary result 4.

Re: Install PSP component on Linux with VCA ?
No, I've had no time to investigate further.
Someone told me that with HP SIM 5.3.1 he managed to upgrade an entire PSP on a Linux target using the VCA, but he did not try with a single component.
