Installing SIM on a workstation

Hi:


Does anyone know if I can install HP SIM on an hp workstation running xp sp2? Specifically a dc5100sff?

Can? Yes. Want to? Maybe not.

First, consult the HP SIM Sizing Application (http://www.hp.com/go/hpsim --> Technical Support) to see if your environment's requirements can be met by the size of your workstation.

Second, most people rely very heavily on their management station, and uptime features available only on servers (RAID, redundant power supplies, ECC memory) are important parts of achieving a robust management system.
