Issue with Discovery ESXi 4.1servers in Insight Manager
Good Morning,
I am trying to discover ESXi servers in my environment.
We had them discovered prior, but due to an issue had to rediscover all the servers again.
Insight Manager is version 6.2
We run a discovery using the server.domain.com and when the task completes, it says the server was skipped.
here is the report:

The system is a VM Host, but I am not sure about configuring it in VMM. We have our VMWare VSphere settings in there. These servers were in there prior, but now I cannot discover them again.

Re: Issue with Discovery ESXi 4.1servers in Insight Manager
Have you verified that the ESXi firewall is configured to allow communication with SIM? Also, have you installed the HP version of ESXi? It comes witht eh HP CIM providors pre-installed on it so verfiy that they are running.

Re: Issue with Discovery ESXi 4.1servers in Insight Manager
I am having the same issue with ESXi servers built with the HP image. If you look up in the results, WBEM discovers succesfully but then at the end it just says System did not pass the discovery filter and will not be added.
Has anyone found a solution to this issue? I am running HP SIM 07.01

Re: Issue with Discovery ESXi 4.1servers in Insight Manager
Have you Enable Discovery Filters checkbox on in the Automatic Discovery configuration ?
