Issue with User Group access to SIM

I did not expect this to be difficult at all, but I'm having an issue getting access through User Groups in SIM.

I've created a group with the same name as the AD Group my account is in on our domain and set the Domain name equal to the name of our domain. It looks like Domain\UserGroup, however, I can not log into SIM using my account this way. If I create a plain user account in SIM and set it equal to my domain name, I can use my AD creds without any problem. What am I missing on the User Group setup? I've tried all kinds of configurations and can't get access with my domain account through the user group setup.
