Lack of Linux server info

Hi there.

As you can see from the attached picture, our Red Hat 4 Linux nodes within SIM are returning very limited data. Our Linux administrator has installed all of the HP agents that are available for Red Hat, but the server will not send alerts to SIM (such as failed disk / power supply etc.) SIM doesn't even know what model the servers are, which makes me wonder whether SNMP is setup corrctly.

Anyone know if there are any special things to do on Linux to get it reporting to SIM?

Yes, it's a pretty good bet that SNMP is not set up properly. It's not a SIM problem, but how easy it is to screw up the snmp.conf file. That's what the HP SIM 'Configure or Repair Agents' utility is for...
