Linix and windows dell servers
Hi, We are experimenting HP SIM with HP and Dell servers.
I have 2 DEll servers one linux and one windows
When I discover dell windows in HP SIM I have a lot of information like disk, memory, process etc ..
But with linux I got only server information, but nothing on memory, FS etc...
SNMP is well configured on both server, so I wonder if it's possible to get other relevant information from linux server with HP SIM on Dell server?
Regards,
Marc

Re: Linix and windows dell servers
Thank's Brad,
Doc is useful, but what I don't understand after discovering windows and linux dell server is that I don't have same information level.
I mean that with dell windows, I got memory, disk, process etc ..I click on health status then I can get these info by clicking on wbem or snmp.
With linux, if I click on health status I have SNMP and PIng, but clicking on SNMP has no action whereas it's the case on windows.
So I wonder if it's normal that on linux dell server I just have finally ping and server description and nothing else?
Regards,
Marc
