MXCONFIGREPO : what are the meanings of all the switches ?

Hello.

I found in the SIM integrated help that mxconfigrepo -c checks the DB integrity. But what is the meaning of the other switches (type mxconfigrepo at the command prompt of the CMS).

Thank you.

Re: MXCONFIGREPO : what are the meanings of all the switches ?

All I found regarding this command was in the TS help docs was the following:

After signing in to HP SIM, no systems, events, or tools are displayed in the console. In some cases, HP SIM might not start correctly or display the Sign In page.

Solution: To resolve this issue, run the database integrity check command (mxconfigrepo) from the CLI to verify that dependent items in HP SIM are properly defined in the database.

mxconfigrepo -c

If errors are reported after running this command:

Stop the HP SIM service.

From the CLI, run mxconfigrepo -f.

Caution: If the HP SIM dependent items are not properly defined, running this command (mxconfigrepo -f) deletes errant records, which can cause minimal data loss.

Start the HP SIM service.

If no errors or reported, call the HP support center.

Hi Michael.

I found also this document. But MXCONFIGREPO has other switches :

mxconfigrepo -a [-F]
mxconfigrepo -r
mxconfigrepo -m
mxconfigrepo -s
mxconfigrepo -u
mxconfigrepo -c
mxconfigrepo -f
