Management Homepage on ESX 3.5 - Timeouts

We have timeouts when accessing the HP Management Homepage on some of our VMware ESX 3.5 servers. At the same time we see error messages in /var/spool/opt/hp/hpsmh/logs/error_log
It says there everytime the Management Homepage is accessed:
Symbolic link not allowed: /opt/hp/hpsmh/data/htdocs/ACU-XE/ipcelmclient.php

It is interesting to note that we have 3 ESX 3.5 servers running. One has no problems but 2 others get these timeouts.

The one WITHOUT the timeouts has these binaries installed:
hpsmh (2.1.9-178)
hpasm (7.8.0-88.vmware30)

The two others that are WITH timeouts have these:
hpsmh: 2.1.10-186 & hpasm: 7.9.1-22.vmware30
hpsmh: 2.1.11-197 & hpasm: 8.0.0-173.vmware30

So the old binaries are without timeouts and the newer ones have them.

Any idea what we could do about this? Thank you in advance!

I've not seen this here and we're running the latest agents.
I don't think the earlier agents are supported on ESX 3.5.
Was the whole PSP package installed using the install shell script?
Just checked and there's a version 8.1.0 now available. See:

This seems to have some fixes for timeout errors.

I installed version 8.10 and the timeouts are gone. Now I have WBEM problems but that will go into an extra thread.
