McAfee VirusScan 8.5 access violation from cqmghost.exe

Just upgraded to VirusScan 8.5 on two W2000 servers. Keep getting this alert in the McAfee access protection log, where "cqmghost.exe" is considered to attempt to write to registry key HKLM\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\McAfeeFramework. Anyone else seen this? Any clues to what's going on?

i see this also on several hosts but I also don't know what there is going on :(
