Monitoring Novell systems in HPSIM

To properly monitor Novell servers in HPSIM do I have to do the monitoring through the ILO? I have added a server in my SIM box and it shows the ILO listed as in server 'Serv_serial number" the server itself shows that monitoring is permanently disabled and the ILO is being monitored...is this correct?

Have you installed the Netware agents on the server? Its been a while since I have done Netware - so I am trying to remember exactly what is needed.

You have to configure your SNMP Settings in inetcfg -> manage configuration -> configure SNMP... and you have to add HP SIM IP \sys\etc\traptarg.cfg

So you don't need to do monitoring by ILO ;-)

download the latest PSP for Netware and install.

username administrator
password administrator
until you change them

as from previous person configure SNMP and traptarg.cfg
