NIC Agent in 7.70 not starting
Hi All,
We upgraded the PSP on our HPSIM Server from 7.60 to 7.70 and since the upgrade we cannot get the NIC Agent to start, which in turn stops the Foundation Agents from starting.
We get Error 1053 when starting the service and there are a couple of errors in the Event Log, Event ID 7000 and 7009.
Anyone seen similar?
Any known solution?
Rob.

Re: NIC Agent in 7.70 not starting
Got the same issue on several servers. Working on a sloution, next step im gonna try is to completely remove the NIC from the OS and let it "discover" it again. That had worked several tiimes before. Back Rev to 7.6 works some of the time also. Seems prevelant on G5 or G4 mostly.

Re: NIC Agent in 7.70 not starting
That did the trick. deleted the NIC, rediscovered it, and updated the drivers. Reteamed the NIC's, used RDU and everything updated and is running well.

Re: NIC Agent in 7.70 not starting
Wouldn't that be the NIC Driver that had the issue?
In this case it's the NIC Agent. I'd need to removal all of the 7.70 Foundation Agents and install the 7.60 Agents to resolve the issue.
That's an option but it might not resolve issues for the next round of releases.
