NetWare 6.5 and System Management Home Page
We have a mixed environment of Windows, Linux, and Novell servers. These all have the appropriate Support Packs installed, and report properly to the SIM server.
My question relates to the home pages reached by browsing to http://servername:2301. The Linux and Windows servers produce a redirect to https://servername:2381 and prompt for a logon (or connect directly if reached from a link in SIM.) The familiar blue, white, and grey System Management Home Page then appears. With Novell OES 6.5, there is no redirect to the secure port - it goes to the page called HP Web-Based Management, which has tabs for the Insight Management Agents, and Compaq Survey Utility. Connecting via https to port 2381 produces no response. This is the situation with existing servers, and also a new OES 6.5 installation on a DL380 G4, with HP support pack v7.60A freshly installed.
Is this difference expected behavior with Novell, or are we missing something? If it is normal, that's OK - but if not, we would like to correct it before deploying additional servers. I have been unable to find more details by searching the forums site, since the forum search function is not working correctly today.

Re: NetWare 6.5 and System Management Home Page
This is normal behaviour on NetWare (all versions up to 6.5). The agents have only ever worked on port 2301, never on secure port 2381.
When you say OES 6.5, do you mean the Linux based or NetWare based OES? The Linux agents I have seen on Red Hat do use secure port 2381; expect it will be the same for SUSE Linux.
