New HPSIM v6.2 (clustered) setup
Hi there,
We're going to implement v6.2 on a clustered environment.
The design is as following:
HPSIM on a dedicated 2008 R2 MSCS.
DB on a shared 2008 R2 MSCS (DB cluster) with SQL 2008 SP1.
For development environment, we would like to use virtual servers for the application. Is there not any issue with the fact that I read in the white paper that the HP cluster MIB agent enabled is a prerequisite for the setup?
Will this impact the cluster functionnality or is it just to let the system known as a cluster with no real issue on the way it's working?
Thank you beforehand for your help.
Regards,

Re: New HPSIM v6.2 (clustered) setup
Hello,
Many thanks for your answer. I really believe this is just for the monitoring of the cluster by itself but will not affect the way HPSIM is working in cluster mode.
I'll keep you posted if I encounter issues...

Re: New HPSIM v6.2 (clustered) setup
it will affect SIM behavior on cluster. you are correct so without this agent you will not be able to get correct information about cluster node and associated nodes with cluster.
