New System Management Homepage DOS vulnerability

I'm looking into the SSRT5998 security alert but am having trouble identifying what the release cycle of the system management homepage has been, and how we identify currently installed versions, it doesnt seem to show up in version control or anywhere obvious. Also, I'm not sure that SMH was always installed through its own component.. possibly as part of something else, in which case does the vulnerability apply...?

If you are running any version of the homepage that was installed prior to July 15, 2005, you need this update.
