New to HPSIM
Hi
I am new to HPSIM. I noticed it can collecte great amount of data with this tool. Currently I am testing it on HPUX9000 platform server, running HPSIM ver 5.3
1) My questions is, is this tool can monitor syslog
2) It for non-hpux platform and only for WIN, LINUX, IPX or OPENVMS? cos I alwasy get this error messages "Operation system Name must equal WIN, LINUX, IPX or OPENVMS.
Please advice

Re: New to HPSIM
No, it's not a syslog monitor.
It can monitor and collect data for any HP device that has agents installed. Also for servers with agents installed hardware faults can be reported.
It can monitor and collect some data from non-HP equipment, but that's limited.
Not quite sure what you're trying to do on 2.

Re: New to HPSIM
Thanks
My question two was due to when i add threshold to the disk monitoring i get the messages when I try to set a threshold for my hpux server.
"Operation system Name must equal WIN, LINUX, IPX or OPENVMS."
