No SIM Agents for blades

Hallo we just installed our first x64 blades, after installing the latest drivers I noticed there where no agent installed.

Are there no agents available for blades or is it just that there are no x64 agents yet?

Try going to:
http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/index.html

From there you can select either via model or OS.

In the x86-64 world drivers have to be 64-bit but executables can be either 64-bit or 32-bit. There's no performance advantage or disadvantage for the agents to be run in 32-bit compatibility mode on the processor, so the agents and other executables in the x86-64 Support Pack are 32-bit.

Im looking for SIM agents for windows 2003 x64 bl25p. When I follow the link you mentioned there is no "Hp insight management agents for windows 2000 / windows 2003 server to be found under the software - systems management section when you chose x64. When you chose "plain windows 2003" there are agents available.

David, perhaps you could comment on that. When I understand you correctly, I should be able to use the 32bit drivers. Then why aren't they simply listed??

Hey Mike,
Sometimes when the publishing of the components to the web occur sometimes these problems happen. The best place to check for components is in the PSP list if you don't see it individually listed. If you go here:

You will see the full PSP list for W2003 x64. You should see a listing for the agents - it is in component cp006464.exe. If you can't find the individual link for it it should be in the full PSP if you download it. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I don't know if it is an error but for some reason the bl25p is not listed for that component . . . sorry I didn't check that before.
