Old Events Won't Delete..Disk Full..HELP!

Hello,

I'm running 4.2 w/ SP2 and need to clear approx 1.4 million events from a 60 + gb database as my drive is full. I try to manually delete them and of course Java launches but eventually craps out. Trying this from the Options >Delete events menu does nothing either.

Can someone tell me how to get rid of these events?
