Only one machine can not Telnet to HP SIM on port 25
Hi,
We are using our HP SIM server as a e-mail rely. I have only one machine that can not telnet to on SIM on port 25(All other server can and have tested e-mail notification).
It seems like our HP SIM server is blocking this one server? Both servers, have mcafee but blocking of port 25 is disabled, theres no firewal software installed. Could it be a setting in SIM that's not alllowing this one machine to rely messages through our SIM server??
Thanks.

Re: Only one machine can not Telnet to HP SIM on port 25
HPSIM isn't an e-mail relay. What other software have you got on the HPSIM Server?
HPSIM can talk to an e-mail server (uses it to send e-mail) and it can forward snmp traps.

Hi.
thanks for your reply but I found the problem. IIS SMTP is relaying the message and I had to allow the machine to do so through IIS.

allow machine access to relay through IIS.
