Open Service Events

Just wondering if it's normal for "Service Events" listed in SIM after installing Remote Support Essentials Pack to never change from "Assigned at HP". Our list of "open" events is growing, even though many of the cases have since actually been closed on the HP side. Is it normal for SIM to not reflect the closure or is this something we should be investigating?
