Prevent Product Number from Changes

hi folks

If i change my product number the discovery or running identifiy task changes my product number back to the standard product number.


how can i prevent my product number from changes?

The source of product number is the BIOS of the system. Changing it in the property page does not change the BIOS of the system in question. That's why it get over-written. There is a check box on the property page in HP SIM to prevent that, but best practice is still to change it in the system's BIOS.
