Problem of adding 2nd RedHat Linux Server & Cannot Detect Raid HDD failure.

Dear all,

I have installed HP SIM 5.1 into DL380G3 server1 and server2. Both OS are Redhat linux AS3.0 Update 8. PSP for Linux is 7.60.

Problem:
1. I have configuration automatic event handling for all proliant storage event, but it cannot detect the HDD failure event. It can work well if I detect such as invalid logon, logon successful etc event.

2. After I have add the second linux server (Server2)to HPSIM, Server2 cannot show the OS and computer name, also cannot show all hardware inventory information by using New Report feature. But Server1 can display well and properly.

Please suggest what wrong I have taken.

Most likely you have problems with your snmpd.conf file. Don't worry, I screw it up myself a lot. My recommendation is to use the HP SIM item 'Configure or Repair Agents' to correct the problem.
