Problem with HP SIM after Update to 6.3

Hi there,

after upgrading to 6.3 all my systems are not shown anymore.

When I click on "All System" there is only a "Loading data..." on the right site, but nothing happens. (See screenshot)

When I click on "Select "All System" itself on top of the table, all system are shown, but they didn't change their status in any way.

What yan I do?

We'd need to know a little about your config. IS the server experiencing high load? How many systems have you discovered? Are there any polling tasks running?

Thanks for your feedback!

I installed the SIM on a workstation, which has a allways a utilization below 10% while I work with the SIM-Software

I have 38 systems discovered!

There are no polling tasks running (as far as I can see)

The DB might be under stress as this is a workstation and not server hardware. Can you tell me the spec of the workstation i.e.

- memory
- cpu
- harddisks
- logical volume layout
- free space

Try using the mx* commands from the command line to check whats in the database

It is a HP xw4600 Workstation with a Core2 Duo E8500 3.16GHz processor and 6GB RAM, free Space is 424GB of 465GB, so this should be enough and it seems, that everything is working fine today .....

I had a break down of our internet line today and some items went to red.

I can't say why, but it seems it is really working again now.

So thanks for your help and I will come back, if it stops working again ...

I'm seeing the same issue but with HPSIM 6.2. My problem seems to relate to using Firefox 4 when it tries to display a page that has a full server list.
What browser are using?

OK the fix to this is to go to IE8 but NOT with the social.microsoft.com fix people have been passing around.

Get into Windows Update, click on INSTALLED UPDATES, find "Internet Explorer Version 9", click UNINSTALL.

It's incredibly counter-intuitive. If you disable it through add/remove programs or the command line it uninstalls IE part and parcel. If you uninstall the update then IE8 definetly should help
