Problem with VCA on Windows with 8.00 PSP

I've got a new 5.2 SIM server, and I've pushed out the 8.00 PSP to another server (all Win2k3). It seems fairly happy, but the VC Agent is complaining. Trying to load most SMH pages times out after 40 seconds, and the VCA log says:
VCA1206584031 3/26/2008 10:13:51 PM An error occurred while performing an operating system specific operation.

I don't see anything in the System or Application Event Viewer. Any ideas?

Has the server been rebooted since the upgrade?
If you've pushed out the entire PSP it will need to be.
Also not sure if you've seen this or it's related;

Yeah, I've rebooted twice since.
It was running the 7.91 PSP prior to this evening, so I don't think that's it.

I'm trying a "Quick Repair" and reinstalling VCA, forcing a downgrade or reinstall. We'll see what happens.

Eh. It didn't like that, but that's OK, because it indicated that the installed version is the latest.

Had to add LOCALHOST as an allowed SNMP host.

Under Computer Management> Services> SNMP service> right click "properties">

add "localhost" to Traps and Security Tab

restart HP Version Control Agent
