Has anyone ever had any issues running HP Sim with a 64-bit OS? I am debating on running the 32 bit vs the 64 bit. I am thinking about running the 64 bit for the memory boost. I am just wondering if anyone had the same thought as me and regreted it.

Re: Problems with HP Sim on 64 bit windows 2003 R2 server?
It works but there are work arounds you need to do. Make sure you read the installation guide and the release notes. After its installed, you have to run some apps (like IE) in 32 bit mode. Did not see any performance boost from 64bit. Did see performance boost using external SQL data base.

Solution
You will not see major Performance boost as HPSIM is still 32bit, however if you can install 64bit SQL Server and use it with HPSIM, you will see some boost up due to to faster SQL operations.
And regarding the memory problem, the HPSIM memory foot print cannot cross >1.55 or 1.7 GB on Windows systems regardless of 32bit or 64bit as there is JVM limitation.
