Is there any link or doc that explains the steps for the enclosure discovery?

Do you just discover the OA and make sure OA sends the snmp traps to the CMS server?

First timer looking for guidance.

Hello,

Yes that's right, if you add your Onboard Admin SIM reads the XML page to get all info on the Enclosure and it's objects like servers and switches. Then discovery will run for the ILO's and other object is found. This will result in adding ILO's switches and servers as a serialnumber.

Thanks for the explanation of Enclosure discovery. As you said it did discover all objects contained in the enclosure.

However, it also discovered all guest VMs and its throwing errors.

How can I prevent the  guest VMs being discovered?

Hello,

If you are logged-in in SM and go to öptions > discoveŕy and click on general settings you can set several options like exclude vms from discovery.
