RE: open sql transaction will not close; reopens after a reboot
I am a HP SIM noob. I spent a couple weeks trying to read the myriad of doc's for SIM and all of the doc's that are associated with it for the agents, plug-in's, ..etc. Anyway, I made the plunge and installed 5.1 SP1 and the hotfix on a W2k3 sp2 vm guest with SQL 2005 db on a seperate server.
The problem that is being reported to me by the dba is that there is an open sql transaction to the vmm db and it will not close. It is not active and has been open since the first day of the install.
Any insight on the issue? Any ideas on how to prevent?
Thanks,
Josh
