RHEL servers appearing as "Unknown" system type
Hello all.
We have several RHEL 5.5 servers that are running the latest version of PSP. On our Windows 2003, SIM 5.3 server all these RHEL machines have a System Type of "Unknown" and the OS field is empty. I have removed and re-discovered them but they still appear as "Unknown" and with a blank OS. What makes this frustrating is the System Management Homepage (SMH) for these RHEL servers does show the correct OS information. Also, the System tab for the RHEL servers within SIM has the following for Hardware Description: Linux sewhac03 2.6.18-194.el5 #1 SMP Tue Mar 16 21:52:39 EDT 2010 x86_64. The hostname of this particular server is sewhac03.
Has anyone else ever encountered this unknown system type and blank OS field within SIM 5.3 for RHEL servers? If so, how was it fixed?
Any help would really be appreciated.
Thanks.

Re: RHEL servers appearing as "Unknown" system type
Unknown would indicate HPSIM has discovered protocol but cannot use it to get access.
Typically SNMP has not been configured to allow the HPSIM Server access using the community you've provided in the discovery.
