RSP requires login when accessing SIM via an alias

This might be an odd one, especially since I already have a work around, but I wanted to throw it out there in case anyone had this before. I'm using SIM 5.3 SP1, RSP 5.4, SMH 3.0.1.73.

I set up a DNS alias so people can easily access my SIM server (let's say MySIMServer.fqdn.com) which just points to my server (servername.fqdn.com).

When I access the RSCS using the servername in the URL (https://servername.fqdn.com:50000) everything works fine. I open up the Remote Support Configuration and Services page without issue. However, when I access the server using the alias (https://MySIMServer.fqdn.com:50000) and try to go to the RCSC I get prompted to login to the SMH of the server. If I login to the SMH it works fine, but I don't want to have to go through give everyone who needs access to RSCS access to the SMH. Everything else seems to be working ok using the alias.

Any ideas why I'd see this behavior using an alias? Am I just stuck using the hostname of the server in order to access SIM and RSCS?

Thanks!

Yeah, same behaviour here.

I think it is because the RSCS is actually a subsite of the SMH inside a frame in the SIM.
