Hi All,
I'm rebuilding my HP SIM server and installing it with the new v6.2 server due to hardware failure (no data can be saved so I must install it on new server), my question is.
with the new HP SIM manager installed in the new server, how can I contact or upgrade the existing HP SIm agent that has been deployed in all of my HP server ?
if anyone know how to do the redeployment / upgrade company wide then that'd be great.
Thanks

Re: Rebuilding HP SIM 6.2, how to upgrade the agent domain wide ?
thanks for your reply David, so in this case i do not need to re-deploy the agent to the whole server in my company datacenter ?
Does it needs the server reboot for all of the upgraded agents ?
Does it needs the server reboot for all of the upgraded agents ?
Best regards,

Re: Rebuilding HP SIM 6.2, how to upgrade the agent domain wide ?
If you had a valid, working agent before on the managed systems, it should not need to be upgraded. You just want to establish communications and trust with it, and MSSW will help there.
Depending on the age of the agents deployed, you might choose to upgrade them through the ProLiant Support Pack, and that sometimes can require a reboot, depending on the delta between the before and after versions.
