Reception of event from windows event log

SIM is installed in Windows2003 Server Standard.
Can the event generated by the event log of Windows be sent to SIM as a trap?

When the error event is generated by Windows, I want to transmit mail.

Re: Reception of event from windows event log

Windows provides 2 utilities that allow selecting 1 or more registered events to be sent as SNMP traps: EVNTCMD.EXE and EVNTWIN.EXE. Unfortunately, it does not appear that Microsoft ever authored MIBs to go along with this, so these would be received by HP SIM as unregistered events.
