Remote SQL database configuration

Is it possible to point multiple instances of HP SIM server (CMS) to a remote SQL server box by creating respective SQL database instances for each HP SIM instance?

 

If yes, then is it a recommended configuration?

Can be done, no issues with that. HPSIM create a unique instance name each time.
