Repeated Alerts
I've HP SIM 5.1 SP1 installed on a Win 2003 server and the db on a SQL 2005 SE.
The problem that i've is, when an event is triggered i receive more than one email event.
For, example when o reboot a server i receive by email at least 4 linkdown events.
How can i force HP SIM to send me only one alert instead of severals?
Thanks In Advance
Ricardo

Re: Repeated Alerts
Look at the events generated and see if what they are. You may be getting alerts for informational as well as major or critical alerts.
You'd typically control this behaviour by controlling the event handling tasks.

Re: Repeated Alerts
Sorry for the delay on the answer.
I've upgraded t HP SIM 5.2 SP2, and i deleted all public entries in the SNMP.
But i continue to have duplicate e-mails.
Thanks

Re: Repeated Alerts
Found the problem.
In the SNMP Agent Service, Trap Tab i had duplicated entries (with and without dns sufix) in the comunity string of HP SIM.
Thanks
