Repeating event log entries from SIM 5 Sp3

Running System Insight Mgr 5 Sp3 on a Win2k3 Terminal Server & getting repeating event log entries showing MxDTF Restarting warning (ID:2) followed by Restart as Sucessful but this has the red cross & shows as an error (ID:1)

need some help on this one please as not sure where to start. SIM seems to be working ok otherwise.

Thanks

Try looking in the logs directory for HPSIM. But I suspect you may need to log a call on that one.

Re: Repeating event log entries from SIM 5 Sp3

Thanks - did that & sure enough mxdtf logs appear at the same rate as the errors in the event log. The error log files all have these enties:

com.hp.mx.utilities.MxUndefinedPropertyException: Property "MxSshKeyPassword" is undefined.
at com.hp.mx.utilities.MxPropertyFile.getDefaultProperty(MxPropertyFile.java:657)
at com.hp.mx.utilities.MxPropertyFile.getSystemProperty(MxPropertyFile.java:604)

at com.hp.mx.dtf.sshClient.MxSshConnectionMgr.(MxSshConnectionMgr.java:130)
at com.hp.mx.dtf.sshClient.MxSshConnectionMgr.getInstance(MxSshConnectionMgr.java:160)
at com.hp.mx.dtf.MxDTFImpl.(MxDTFImpl.java:193)
at com.hp.mx.dtf.MxDTFImpl.main(MxDTFImpl.java:245)
ERROR: mxdtf received an exception from Java Virtual Machine.

Any suggestions as to a solution?

Re: Repeating event log entries from SIM 5 Sp3

Yes - i had not installed sshd. Advice from HP Support was to completely uninstall, reboot & reinstall with sshd option. Boring but it did solve my problem & has been ok since then,

Good luck
