SHA512 Root CA Certificate Support

Hello,

We have HP SIM 6.2 on Windows and I am trying to import our internal Root CA certificate into the "Trusted Certificates" for HP SIM.

Our Root CA is signed with an SHA512 hash.

Does HP SIM support this kind of certificate because no matter what format I try (base64 with .cer, .crt. pem extension) HP SIM keeps saying that the certificate format is invalid.

Thanks

Sunil

Re: SHA512 Root CA Certificate Support

Trusted Certificates are for certificates served by the devices HP SIM manages, not a root CA certificate.

Re: SHA512 Root CA Certificate Support

This directly contradicts the information in the HP SIM 6.2 Help:

"Importing a CA Signed Certificate

"The only importable certificate format is PKCS #7. If the certificate reply received from the CA is a single certificate, then first import a self-signed root certificate from the issuing CA into the Systems Insight Manager Trusted System Certificates List. After importing the CA root certificate, the certificate reply can then be imported to serve as the Systems Insight Manager server certificate."

Re: SHA512 Root CA Certificate Support

Did you ever get anymore information about this ?

We have just built a version 7.o SIM and we still cant import SHA2 certificates.
