I found out the devices are not resolved by IP to HOSTNAME on the DNS server.I think the problem is this one.
Can you confirm, please?

on the switch the snmpmibcapshow command will show you which events are configured to send an snmp trap. the
agcfgshow command should show you the snmp destination, community strings etc although these are probably best viewed in the switch gui.

the dns hostname to ip resolution should'nt affect traps getting to hp sim if you have specified hp sim server ip address in the switch snmp trap destiination or hp sim server name is resolvable. the switches themselves will probably appear in hp sim as an ip address
rather than their name if they are not in dns.
either enter them into dns or they can be renamed in their settings tab in hp sim.
