SIM 5.2 - Monitor 3rd party device (Emerson XDFN Cooling)

Hi,

how is the procedure for polling the status of several OID's on a SNMP capable device - in this case it is a closed cooling cabinet from Emerson (XFN).
The SNMP adpaters in the cabinet are responding to a list of OID's
How can I get the most important events (temperatures) into SIM?
Is there a way to do this by hand? (ressource links welcome)

An example:
I have:
Manufacturer ID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.476.1.42
OID: 4.3.21.1.1.1.19.7 (incoming temperature)
When i do a snmpget on this OID the cabinet respond with an integer value.
Unfortunately the manufacturer has no MIB files for this cabinet, I got some and imported them but they are not working.

Regards,
Markus

All HP SIM does for non-HP devices is to reflect an up/down status. In the absence of a MIB, HP SIM will not be able to translate any SNMP traps received.
