SIM 5.2 crashes!! Major Problem!!
I am having major problems with SIM 5.2. As soon as something is done on the SIM server, even a normal restart of the server, SIM crashes. It wont start again. It hangs at 'Waiting for the HP Systems Insight Manager web server'.
In the mx.log I have found this:
@!@,2008-04-23 11:18:44 CEST,APPLICATION,FAILURE,START,CMS,ERROR: TABLE hpmxTargetStatus KEY NodeID may contain 358 entrie(s) not in table devices KEY MxGUID,ERROR,insight\mxadmin,,,

@!@,2008-04-23 11:18:44 CEST,APPLICATION,FAILURE,START,CMS,1 entries fixed in TABLE DB_DeviceCpu,ERROR,insight\mxadmin,,,
1 entries fixed in TABLE DB_DeviceCpu
I have reinstalled the whole server as well as only SIM. But as soon as something is done on the server, even if it just is to ad a module in the SIM like VMM for example or a restart of the server,it crashes.
I have following configuration:
Windows 2003 server standard SP2
SQL server 2005 SP2 (local) (I have also tride with the express version)
SIM 5.2 installed from ICE DVD 2.21

SOLVED!
I have solved this myself. In collection names, when you make your own collections, you can't use swedish characters anymore.

Hey Catherina!
I have the same problem, and I was wondering how did you do to solve this problem.
What do you mean with collection names and where did you add this setting?
Kindly
Jon Arnesen
