SIM 6.1 SNMP Trap Forwarding - Can the port be modified?
I don't have access to SIM other than as basic user account so am more inquiring. I haven't see any details on this in the pdf guides.
Is it possible to configure SNMP forwarding to a specific port. For instance, I want to send traps to localhost and have the OVO agent listening on a different port process the traps.

Re: SIM 6.1 SNMP Trap Forwarding - Can the port be modified?
Hi
I think it is actually possible. When defining a action on event task, you have the possibility to forward a trap to a destination ip. The tool actually lets you specify a port if you want.
destination ip = 192.168.1.1:xxx xxx being the port number
Give it a try.
Now in the case of OVO (now operation center) please take a look at the following doc for it describes precisely how the integration Between SIM and OVO works.

hope it helps
