SIM 6.3 and Cisco and VMWare MIBs
Hi!
I have some problem with SNMP traps from Cisco 3750 and VMWare ESXi servers.
I received traps, system generated some events, but their type is Generic Unregistered.
I can see Enterprise OID in their details.
They are:
1.3.6.1.4.1.6876.4.3 - it is for VMWare ESXi
and
1.3.6.1.4.1.9 it is for Cisco.
For example:
mxmib -l say that all mibs from folder C:\Program Files\HP\Systems Insight Manager\mibs are active. There are 34 files cisco*.mib and 12 files vmware*.mib
When I go to Options\Events\SNMP trap Settings - I see Cisco and VMWare mibs but when I choose one of them - Trap Name is empty in it.
Why SIM doesn`t see this mib?

Re: SIM 6.3 and Cisco and VMWare MIBs
Well, have you imported specific MIBS for the Cisco 3750? HP bundle some .mib files with SIM but they are for HP Branded Cisco Switches like the P-Class CGESMs. You most likely need to import the .MIBs for those Cisco devices
Note: this may not work as certain vendors have do not comply exactly to standards :(
