SIM 7.2 will no longer start after applying SIM72_hotfix_2013_May_win

I installed the May hotfix today, and after updating the files and starting the SIM service, it kept looping through "waiting for SIM to start" every 15 seconds.  After about 1/2 hour of this I figured it was stuck and tried restarting the server.  SIM still will not start.  The SIM service itself starts, but the SIM application is not responding on port 50000.  I don't see anything in the App or System events logs...just says SIM service sucessfully started.

Does anyone know if there is a specific SIM log text file I can look at to tell me what is wrong?  Is there a way to back out of this patch?

After a couple of restarts and some patient waiting, it now works.  I am guessing I did not wait long enough.

If you've got a lot of XML files in the <SIM>/traps directory, it processes them at startup time. This can take a very long time to get through.

Obviously your system is now OK, but I'm just putting this here in case anyone else comes across it. Look in the "traps" directory, and see if the number of files is decreasing. You can also manually delete the files.

HP SIM 7.2

i deleted all XML in hpsim/traps .. now its working fine..

but login page showing first   http://hostname :280  and certificate error , if i click continue then automatically changing to https;//hostname :50000  !!  and login perfect..

is there any problem ??

You should just be going to the https://<name>:50000/ page anyway. 

There are some changes to certificates around 7.2 - check out some of the other threads on this.

After the deletion of XML file from  hpsim\traps , my HPSIM and  server is working fine... But again its dumping lot of XML file and server and hpsim  became slow or take long time on startup !!! ??

 please advise
